Getting started
How do I invite my roommates?
Create a nest, then share the invite code at the top of The Nest tab. Housemates download the app, sign up, and join with that code. The nest opens once at least one flockmate has joined.
How do I add chores?
In The Nest, tap to add a chore, pick an icon, and set its rhythm — daily, weekly, twice a week, monthly, as-needed, or a custom interval like every 3 days. The rotation starts on its own.
How things work
How does the rotation decide whose turn it is?
Round-robin: each chore passes to the next member in a fixed order every time it comes due. Nobody picks, nobody volunteers — it's nobody's job to keep track, because the app does it.
What if it's my turn but I can't do it?
Open the chore and pass it. It moves to the next person in line, and the handoff is visible to the nest — no invisible favors, no quiet resentment.
How does photo proof and voting work?
Finish a chore, snap before-and-after photos, submit. The rest of the nest votes in Flock Vote; a majority approval marks it done. If the work falls short, the flock sends it back for another try. Solo nests approve automatically.
What is a bump?
A gentle nudge. Any member can bump a pending chore to its assignee with an optional note, which sends them a push notification — so the app does the reminding, not you.
Troubleshooting
Not getting notifications?
On iPhone, check Settings → Apps → Room Robin → Notifications. On Android, check Settings → Apps → Room Robin → Notifications. Make sure notifications are allowed. Push notifications require a real device.
Not getting arrival-home reminders?
Open Perch in Room Robin and turn on “Remind me when I get home.” On Android, Location must be set to Allow all the time; on iPhone, choose Always. Arrival reminders are optional and your live device location stays on your phone.
Delete your account
In the app: Perch → delete account. This removes your account, photos, and memberships. Details in the privacy policy.
